Today I want to talk about Microsoft Teams – why we love it and why many of our clients have embraced it.
Microsoft Teams is an all-in one solution that allows your staff to connect and collaborate in real time – whether or not they are in the office.
It doesn’t matter where you, or your team is located. You can access Teams and collaborate with your team.
Let me expand on this further just so you can really understand what I mean here. I don’t want to talk about how the whole organisation but let’s talk about how one member of an organisation might use Teams – depending on where they are.
Let’s say you work for a professional services organisation. You have a desktop computer at the office, a laptop for remote work, an iPhone, and an iPad.
Whilst you are at the office you can collaborate with your team using the Teams App on your desktop. You can use channels to chat about particular projects via real time messaging, you can use the voice conferencing platform and you can easily collaborate and share files. You can make and receive calls with clients and other stakeholders outside your organisation – all from the Teams app.
You can get the same access from the App on your laptop when you are working from home.
Sometimes your team quickly needs to get you to review a file or respond to a message. You can do this away from your desk via the Teams App on your iPhone. Similarly, you can make use of your commute by accessing Teams on your iPad.
If you are ever at a friend or family member’s house, and something urgent happens, you can also access Teams via the web-based Teams App.
Microsoft Teams has fast become the most important hub of the Microsoft Suite of products for businesses of all sizes. Teams integrate perfectly with, and can replace your traditional PBX system. You no longer need your desk phone.
